The Ames Cyclones are proud to announce that 5 of its players have been selected to the U18 Team Midwest hockey team. This is the 1st time in program history that more than 2 players have been selected! The FUTURE IS LOOKING BRIGHT!
U18 Team Midwest is a Tier II “preseason team” made up of high school players from the HS League (MHSHL). It is designed to keep players on their high school teams during the regular season while gaining additional competition against other Tier I and Tier II teams. Games will be played in August through October. Games will be played vs USPHL Premier Jr teams from MN (Blue Ox, Moose, Mullets, Outlaws), Shattuck-St. Mary’s, Chesterfield (St. Louis) MO, the Chicago Pre-Season Showcase, & the prestigious Silver Sticks tournament in Denver, CO.
