AMHA Concussion Information

AMHA is proud to continue our partnership with McFarland Sports Medicine Clinic to provide our baseline testing and concussion protocol. McFarland Sports Medicine uses the C3Logix System to manage concussion treatment from baseline testing to post-concussion screening and return to play.

All new and current AMHA athletes will need to be screened for this season.  All Mites moving up to squirts will also need to be tested. High School players who have already done the concussion testing this year for other High School Sports need to notify the High School Coordinator and provide their scores.

The player's baseline test will be used in the event of a suspected concussion to determine if the player can continue participating. If a player fails their baseline test, then that player will be placed in the Return to Play After Concussion Protocol. No player will return to play/competition (RTP) or practice on the same day of the concussion. The player must receive medical clearance from a licensed health care provider and provide a copy of the Medical Return to Play Form to the team coordinator. Once medical clearance is authorized, the player will follow the prescribed Return to Play After Concussion Protocol.
