High School Registration


The Ames Little Cyclones High School Hockey Program is also a division of Ames Minor Hockey. The high school hockey program plays in the Midwest High School Hockey League, and has claimed two Varsity Regular Season Championships in 1985 and 1986, along with a State Runner-up finish in 1985 and the program’s only State Championship in 1986.

The Junior Varsity Cyclones have won State Championships in 1992 and 1997 and finished the 2008-2009 season in the JV Tournament final four.

The 2009-2010 season will consist of 32 games, 16 of those at home, culminating with both the Varsity and Junior Varsity State Tournaments to be held the first two weekends in March in Ames at the Ames –ISU Ice Arena.

The High School Hockey Season Runs from October to March, with Training Camp beginning in October, Games starting in November and the State Tournaments ending the season in March.
